Daily Skin Care routine. How to get unready every night the right way. Here are five basic steps to healthy skin.
Step 1: Remove makeup
The most gentle way to remove makeup from skin is by using baby oil. Baby oil is not just good for a baby’s skin, but it is so gentle that it is the safest thing to use for any skin type. If you think about it, baby oil is safe enough to use on a baby’s skin that is already so sensitive, thus is good to use on all skin types. I used a cotton pad and put some baby oil on it, and gently remove all the makeup from my face. Never sleep with makeup on your face, it will clog up the pores and that is what creates pimples on the face.
Step 2: Rinse your face
Gently rinse your face off the oil and makeup with a cleanser that is suitable for your skin type. I personally have normal to dry skin, so I use the Clean & Clear cleanser. However, the cleanser is good for all skin types.
It is super gentle on the skin, which makes it so great to use!
Step 3: Wipe face with warm towel
After taking off your makeup with baby oil, and washing your face, use a warm towel to wipe your face. The warm heat will help your pores open up to wipe the cleanser off.
Step 4: Toner
Once done wiping your face with a warm towel, this helps the pores open up to get all the dirt out of the pores. Use a toner to close the pores on your face. I use the same cotton pad and dab some toner onto it and gently wipe your face with the toner. The toner will help close the pores to get it ready for the next step – moisturizing.
Step 5: Moisturizing
The final step in getting un-ready, is moisturizing the face. Now that you have cleansed and toned your face, it is time to moisturize it before heading to bed. I personally use the Clarins Hydraquench Cream, which is for normal to dry skin. I find it to be the most gentle on the skin and no matter what skin type, this cold cream will not irritate it. I have been using it for years and probably gone through countless tubs of them. I gently apply a generous layer of moisturizing cream on my face before heading to bed to end my nightly routine.
